I feel I should explain this video.
It isn't the Royal Marines in this video.
It was shot shortly after the initial bout of fighting in Iraq finished. The guys in the mud are in the Royal Artillery, the guy filming and the guy who parked the boat there were from the Royal Engineers.
The Royal Artillery were creating a recruitment video to show that they did more than just shoot big guns. The problem was that the Sappers controlled the boats, so they soaked a portion of beach and landed there.

Why does everybody get so serious or slate these soldiers? If you've ever soldiered, you'd understand just have boggy that mud is (or just use you're eyes..). It doesn't matter if they're army or marines (and they are army, for the record), it would take superman to do what they were trying to do (remember this is training) without getting bogged down.
Too much funny shit happens in military training, you only see tiny glimpses of it. This being one.

These are not Royal Marines Commando's, they are much more trained than these jockey's, ie proper beach recce's.
