@7dreams1935 First you have to start grinding fresh(3-15 days from roast) coffee beans in a quality burr grinder(Baratza Maestro would make a good start) then you can take it to the next level

I've watched a lot of these and not one heats up the plunger first. Why put boiling water into a cold press. Much better result when you pre heat the plunger.

Thanks for the tip, mooro612. It is true that heating the plunger would result in warmer coffee. I am not sure that it would improve anything except the warmth of the resultant brew. Most connoisseurs recommend that the water be not quite boiling for the best tasting coffee. All a matter of taste, I am sure but boiling water is supposed to make the coffee more bitter. You can boil coffee in a pot and strain (or not) the grounds but the coffee will not taste as mild as the French Press brew

Thanks bunches. Great to hear from you. Did you notice how many videos deal with the French Press? Lots and lots. I need to look for a less popular subject for my next video.

Thanks for the kudos. To do a video on the best and worst coffees I would have to be a coffee connoisseur. I like a good cuppa java but can't claim to be a connoisseur. (Maybe I could fake it. What do you think?) :-)
