@yianpap People who play like Nadal are naturally gifted, or they wouldn't be able to play like that. You are soudning kind of silly with your ignorane and complete bias. If over-zealous Fed fan sounds like a disease then maybe it is, it sure seems like one. I think you fit in to that category anyway because you have failed to see my point in al of my posts and argue about nothing. Is it really that hard to admit your precious Federer would not have won near as much in the era of McEnroe and ect

@kelman221 You think Nadal is just as naturally gifted/talented as Federer is??Thanks for the laugh. Nadal's success is clearly owing big time to the new racquet technology that allows his huge spin&the fact the courts have all been slowed down. He's a relatively one-dimensional player compared to RF.
" over-zealous Fed fans"? You make it sound like some sort of disease lol.
Most great figures of the game agree that Federer is the greatest of all time and you honestly are sounding kind of silly

@yianpap We will never know, but by that arguement Nadal would hae adapted just as well because his hand eye coordination is just as good, of not better, than Federer's. But my point is that Federer would not have been near as successful back then as he was now, just because of all the other great players and the limitations of the time period. I know it is hard for over-zealous Fed fans to admit, but to deny this fact is kind of silly.

@kelman221 Federer would have adjusted to anything because his tremendous natural skills and hand eye coordination

@Ceri0n you forget that mcEnroe played in the 70's. You can't expect the standard form back then to be the same as today's.
-
@MrPernell27 I agree Nadal would get owned if he tried using his same play style back then, but Federer would certanintly not have done near as well back then either, more level playing field and more competition. Time to get off the Federer bandwagon and admit it my friend.

They're still great to watch and learn.

@kelman221 Federe could have played in any era and been a great champion. Nadal would not have even made the second week at wimbledon if he played in the 90's. The majors have all been slowed down tremendously whic helps nadal. The only place he would have been scuccesfull is the french. Players like sampras, becker, mcenroe, agassi and ivanisavic would have owned him
lendl's backhand is still intimidating

Every time Mcenroe looked at Lendl, he gave the "Where's that passing shot now" look.
