  • Im sorry but this video does NOT explain dead and alive stones properly. And id love to play you some time and see how good you are, i am 15k on KGS atm same username.

  • arrow I made a video all about dead and alive stones plus these were made when i was 30 kyu

  • I disagree with your chess and go comparison. Although go does have a lot more possibilities than chess, they both share similar strategies such as looking ahead and predicting your opponent's moves. Both games are difficult to master and I believe that if you were to play an expert/professional in either game, you would find it is not so simple. I liked your video though and I hope you make more. Go is an excellent game, but please don't belittle chess.

  • All major games board gaqme research showed that go makes chess look like checkers do some research Chess has so many rules on a small board meaning less strategy in fact I played chess resently and thx to go I was able to read 20-30 moves ahead I sucked at chess before I found go and after seeing how easy

  • chess is I found all swtudies were right the greatest chess playere couldn't keep up with the greatest go player he played chess recently and noticed that he was better than before go teaches to plan for whats ahead in strategy not to make a few ateempts for hope of capturing one piece chess the goal is to capture the king go the goal is to fight to the bone for the most intersections while there are 360 intersections

  • Go was made before chess and in asia proffing since asia's countanent is the smartest not even the egyptians from africa could keep up in building a good strategic board game there have been scientific research on this also take in the fact programmers can easily make a program that is an expert of chess while they can barely make a program that can rise up to the lvl of one kyu in go because go is to complex the only way a program can master it is with artificial intelligence

  • whoever is talking sounds really really really gay and handsome. i want to bang you. so much. i'm so gay. and i want you.

  • his he drunk?

  • yep!

  • yeaa either way both are fun games

  • The original comment was along the lines of "Chess is no where near Go in strategy and is as close to Go as checkers and other simple games". I argued that the person shouldn't belittle chess, and he used the "there isn't a good computer program for Go yet" as an example to argue that Go is a more complex and strategic game, thus implying that a chess player was nowhere near the level of strategy or thinking as a Go player (in other words "inferior").

  • That's true. I agree that the goal in Go takes more time to achieve. When I typed these comments in response, I felt upset about the original comment that fueled them, since in my eyes it felt disrespectful to all chess players who JUST LIKE GO PLAYERS spend much of their lives studying their game and are under stress when playing in a tournament.

  • daggar you are right to some degree, but every chess piece has a set movement while the movement in Go is the same. Making a chess board larger would make the game take longer but it wouldn't neccesarily make it harder because there would still be one king and one way to win at one specified place on the board for a computer to go for. In Go you want as much of the board (or captured pieces) as you can, kinda a bigger goal eh?
