IGNOU offers online course in Spanish

MOU/ Sighing with Instituto Cervantes for launching of Certificate in Spanish language Programme..

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the Cervantes Institute to offer an online certificate programme in Spanish language.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Prof. V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai, Vice-Chancellor, IGNOU and Ion De La Riva, Spanish Ambassador to India.

"The course will be beneficial for those traveling to Spanish-speaking countries of Europe and Latin America, entrepreneurs determined to launch commercial interests there, students of literature and those in the Indian Foreign Service (IFS)," said a University official.

Students will have to pay Rs.2000 as course fee.

Students having 10+2 degree with work knowledge of English are eligible to pursue this course. Students can complete this course in a minimum period of six months and a maximum period of 2 years.

For the first batch admission will be offered to 200 students on first come first serve basis.
