CS Gas is Tear Gas. The grenades, canisters and smudge pots (used by most interantional special operations grunts) are marked with a maroon stripe on a grey field. Marine Gunnerysergeants are known to use it for aftershave. Take a deep breath, pick up the canister and throw it downwind if it bothers you. As long as you don't rub your eyes it will wear off in a few minutes unlike the "Fog of War" which is better remedied with humor.
