Wow beautiful live version. It's a wonder how he could sing something so personal to a live audience. Probably why they didn't do it that often.

@EdgeCrush10 Just checked my cd and my old album (yes, album!), and no answer. Edge plays guitar and keyboard, so it makes sense that he plays other instruments. I'll have to google it.

I read somewhere (old comments maybe) that it was the Edge playing some kind of flute.

Brilliant !

I was 16 years old when I first heard this. And it still means a lot after all these years and will more relate as as scared child than will with the Brits ever coming back.

The clarity is unbelievable. I am impressed by all. Who played woodwind?

I wish a live video concert footage of U2 playing "Tomorrow" could be discovered and posted here on Youtube.. it's such a powerful song, and I totally connect to it, as I, like Bono, lost my mother when I was a young fellow.

@viperdude281 Haha....how things change....as suspected, having hear the full band do the songs like North Star and Everybreaking wave, i think they have a lot of potential :) Hell....im even digging Glastonbury
How raw is this?
So brilliantly Irish sounding, and that voice of Bono's...epic. I love that U2 became so huge - they definately desrve all the success, but it's almost a shame this rawness was (inevitably) lost.

Early, raw, unadorned, inspired, straight on rock! I've loved this band since day one and it's been a helluva ride to see how they've evolved. Those were the days indeed. I'll be seeing them tomorrow night in Chicago. People who bash Bono should get their head of their arse! What have any of you done to make this world a better place?
