Diverse Communities Make Minnesota the Highest Voter Turnout in the Nation in 2008 at 75.86%. This series shows the diverse communities who are actively involved in voter registration, voting, and who demonstrate the hard work that makes Minnesota the highest voter turnout in the nation.

Part 3 was filmed in Disciple's Ministry Church's historic Mikro Kodesh synagogue located in Minneapolis Minnesota USA. Pastor Paul's Club Members are registering for monthly groceries and picking up their food.

Pastor Paul's Mission Grocery Shelf is open daily and serves the largest diverse community in the state. Besides purchasing food, it distributes about 2 million pounds of donated food to the community each year and has distributed food since 1980. It is the largest 'direct' free food distributor to the needy in Minnesota and the nation.

Today members receive Pastor Paul's Club Newsletter describing Voter Registration. During the month of October 2008 each head of household member, 2,200 this month, will receive a Voter Registration application with the newsletter.

They are able to watch an educational video, practice voting in an actual voting booth, get Voter Guides, more Voter Registration applications all provided by the Secretary of States Office. The purpose of this effort is to educate voters on the importance and ease of voting.
