I never was much for this martial art. But I do enjoy watching it.

Wumbo20- Yes. My father trained with him at his dojo in Japan along with many of O Sensei's first students who went on to be great teachers themselves. He teaches at a small dojo in San Jose, CA. and has been practicing now for about 43 or 44 years. He's a 7th dan. His name is Norman Heller. If you want to learn the technique how it was taught to him by O Sensei then look him up.

Every age of people has it's own Aikido style.

It looks like hypnotizism because no matter how old your training partner is, the "Uke" has to follow it.
Extremely old people lack power but I love training with them.
When I train with people under 60, I some times get brutally beaten. They are surprisingly tough. Visit Iwama dojo for hard core stuff.

If you feel unsaticfide with Aikido, want to get stronger faster, maybe it's not for you.
Hard to explain, but I love Aikido.

Leave them be.
Let them say what they want.
We aikidokas don't have to prove anything, to anyone, but ourselves.
And for those of you who follow Ueshiba Sensei's teachings, and don't agree with me, just remember the 11th basilar point of Aiki Dô
