I think higher education seems more like a fashion statement, another for profit organization and a rich persons hobby. I've tried going to community and full college but not only I didn't like it but it's rather financially impractical. I've instead invested into specialized vocational schools and it seems from my personal experiences that a few $500 to $10,000 certifications carry way more weight and faster employment then one or two $50,000 to $100,000 degrees.

I am very aware of Peter Schiff and I watch him every day on this site as well as RON PAUL, Alex Jones, Jim Rogers, Marc Faber, Max Keiser, and all the rest of the Austrian Economists.
I would recommend you keep doing what you are doing and keep pointing people in the direction of RON PAUL.
Great clip. So called "Higher Education" is a huge waste of money.

Thanks. I am uncertain if you heard of him, but Peter Schiff explains this better than me. He tried to run for Senate this past year of 2010 and be the difference maker when it comes to government intrusion in higher education.
I have been in favor of less intrusion of government on education right after I made a mistake in taking out a student loan back in 2005, when it was still getting worse.

@doctorofghetto2 u must have not listen to peter schiff when he said, "go ahead and get them loans bc in the end u will pay only 10%" in others take advantage of it. now if ur conscience is killing you than dont. you have to know how to play the game. the same thing he said about the 8k for buying a home

MIT. It is not about playing some game, it is about saving up for college/houses and having government become less interfering with the higher education, allowing college tuition to decrease overtime.
I guarantee that if the government got rid of FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), tuition will plummet and more students will be accessed to higher education here in the United States.
In addition to, buying a house is better than taking out a mortgage because you own it.

And feel free everyone to see the description box on Peter Schiff's analysis on college and its debt purpose, along with other articles.
