I kinda hate to say it, but really what do you expect? Considering what retail employees (even many techs) get paid, you're basically playing the lottery when you ask them much more than basic questions.
If you're lucky, you'll get the college kid who knows what he's talking about and is only doing the job part-time till graduation. Having the lowest price in town is what moves product, meaning less money to spend on employees. (This is coming from someone doing his stint in retail.)
I have to agree with Aracxus, that most of the people are at Best Buy since its just a job for them. I love the catch comments you have in the crank!
