  • Oh I had one of these. The string broke. I think I still have it but idk. It was old when I got it.

  • @coolcatsamantha Hi, I found a woman who repairs and restrings old Mattel dolls...I don't know if she does other non-Mattel pull-string dolls. Here's her email if you're interested: mattelcollectables@yahoo.com...the website is the same name, but with .com

  • That was my favorite doll when I was a little kid, and then the Chrissie doll (the one where you could pull more hair from a hole in her head.

  • I loved my Thumbelina doll soooo much.

  • @christmaseveryday1 Thanks!!!

  • I had two of these when I was a little girl. May parents bought me a new one when the old one wore out. It cost my mother $6 for the first and $7 for the second. The doll came with a beaded name bracelet. The hair was made out of some weird material that clumped up very quickly.

  • this doll was the furbie.cabbage patch, tickle me elmo toy of my dreams when i was three.

  • I had one of these when I was about 7 in 1974.When I was older, and growing out of baby dolls,I'd stand on my bed, pull the string, hold it by the string's ring and dangle it,pretending it was a helicoptor as its gears were really loud and sounded like a propellor..I was taking the mickey out of my own toy.Good times.

  • I remember my sister getting one of these for Christmas in '68 or"69. Our neighbor (an adult woman) freaked out and dropped it. I still remember it's funny hair, sticking out all over, like a bad haircut. Geez, time has sure gone by.

  • My Mom bought one of these for me when I was about six...but I wanted a bike and I cried...that is until I opened the package and saw the doll and what it did...but since I cried my Mom took it back to the store and I have never forgotten this...Later as an adult...I had reminded her of it...so she bought me a bigger one...Wish she could have found the smaller one though...I still appreciate the thought :-)
