@dtwife Good, so you don't arbitrarily throw on clothing. I bet you have even more reasons to get dressed than the two you've provided. So you love your body and you have utilitarian motives for covering it up. Let's talk about glasses. Do you wear them? Why? Do you ever where sunglasses? Have you considered contacts or lasix?

1. I get it from the definition of SIM and the direction that thought system is heading. Correct me if there's a different concept.

2. A computer is a human invention. The brain is not just a computer. We are not solely bio-carriers for a brain. The world is not a program nor simply a matrix. There is a living, pulsing being we are a part of, and it encompasses all of what we are or we wouldn't experience the mirror the way we do.

@dtwife Sorry if I sound douchey but your assumptions about what a digital entity is seems overly familiar in that it seems like you had been well versed in the strawmen against transhumanism prior to engaging in this conversation. Your questions were hostile. You asked me a question that really was a statement about how I hate my own body... seriously. That was a loaded question my friend. So answer the three questions and you'll solve the riddle for yourself. Peace.

1. Why do you think digital means, being free of "Mire and muck?" This is not true nor has it ever been. Where do you get this from?

2. Once you've resolved the above now consider this: How do you know you haven't already abandoned your body and become a digital pattern in a computer?

3. Do you hate your body so much that you would change your appearance with clothes?

@elbowbiter1 I'm not your opponent. I'm drawing conclusions, whether you think they are bizarre or not, because I can't see a valid reason for desiring to become a digital entity. If you need to argue in a linear, logical manner, I can't see a logical reason to becoming a digital entity other than what I stated. Please state your position, I am genuinely interested. But if the only manner that you can think and "argue" is logically and linear, maybe we won't have much to exchange. Not a "bro".
