The US presidential election should be more focused on the economy and job creation, but to many religion is a key factor when casting a ballot. Religious rhetoric has been on display in the GOP presidential nominee race as of late, but is the separation of church and state a good thing? Daniel Faraci, director for Grassroots Political Consulting LLC, and A.J. Johnson, development director for American Atheists Inc, weigh in.

Saw the still-shot of the video and the first thing that glared at me was the word seperate. No, I don't want to "seperate" church and state...I want to separate church and state. Just like science and religion should be kept as far away from each other as possible at ALL times, so should religion and politics. Religion and politics are both cancerous, and are extremely lethal to the continuation of the development of the brains of the human species.

Its funny how most things become toxic when you add religion to them.

I must have missed that part of the federal budget that is devoted to "demonic activity".

It's healthier for a country to be lead by a non-religious govenment and leader. That way we can leave out many problems. Everyone has the right to practice their own beliefes. But religion cannot be used as a political instrument to persuade the masses to your cause. It is illogical to vote for a leader just because he/she believes in God. Just let people live their life the way they want to with or with out religion.

Religion has controlled it from the beginning in the constitution. Religion sucks. What are we going to do about this? Time will tell. Things are fucked up, but I guess they could be worse.
