  • Is Jack Layton against the clubbing of baby seals? I mean, his current position. He'd better be, or else I'm switching to Elizabeth May and the Green Party.

  • Whats the song from 0:18 to the end?

  • lmao

  • ingenous depiction for a controvertial subject!..bearfur6

  • Yes but it is considered illegal 2 euthanize a human, therefore it would be called murder... unless the person injected themselves is that case it would be suicide.

  • I know, It would be murder. I wouldn't condine "murder" but helping someone who is suffering so badly with no end in sight is humane. Perhaps just finding a way to let them sleep through the pain is the best solution...

But back to seals. We can't have hunters running around injecting them with sedatives. So how about killing them as fast as possible? That's what the rifle (used 95% of the time) and club (5%) are for. Both are considered humane by independent Veterinarians.

  • no, it's called euthanasia

  • killing anything is badong!!!

  • Never said I disagree, but unfortunately putting a person out of their misery is called murder.

  • Funny you should ask because someone in my family just died of an incurable disease.

I say it's a thousand, no wait, a MILLION times more humane to let a person who is getting nothing out of life but suffering, die.

In the case of animals I also think it is more respectful to put their parts (Meat, Omega-3 oil, and pelts) to good use. Particularly if local people who have few economic options and who live off the land can use those parts to eat or to sell.
