Singing: My Heart Will Go On -- Celine Dion

It's rainy and gross outside, so I entertained myself by making this. The rain having just started and all, my allergies are having a blast, so forgive any throat clearing or sniffing, although I think I managed to keep that to a minimum.

Basically, this is up here so I can show my friends, and eventually look back and check on my progress from this point. So, leave comments if you want, contstructive criticism would be preferred, but if you just want to be an ass about it, go for it, and if you want to let me know you enjoyed it, I'd love that.

Thanks!

  • That's a very touching song, and what seems like a good one for you. Overall, your voice is great. I really like it and you did a good job. If you really want to improve though, work on expanding your lung capacity each time you play, as well as strengthening your diaphragm. If you do these things your voice will have a stronger presence and richer harmonics. (As a bagpiper I never had problems with lung capacity but just something to think about).

  • Thank you! I appreciate your advice! I just started practicing sirens (singing from your lowest note to your highest and back in one breath, and smoothing out any cracks) and I think I'm gonna have a freaking six pack, haha. I didn't even know it was possible to have a sore diaphragm, but it is! But again, thank you! ((You play the bagpipes?! Killer!!))

  • I never met somebody as light as you name Ebony, interesting... LOL...but anyhow, you need to open up the back of your throat, your being very lazy with the notes, you really need to learn your different registers and strengthen them

  • horrible :O

  • do american idol!

  • What kind of singing lessons do you take????

  • Yes, it is possible believe it or not. The diaphragm is a muscle like everything else. Really what's strange is I never could sing until I picked up the bagpipe. Then when my lungs started to build I got better. I have a very, very low bass voice. It's kinda strange seeing a guy my size (I'm rather little) singing that deep, but oh well. Feel free to contact me anytime.

  • *each time you sing. Sorry I was still in piping mode ;)
