  • i would actually disagree that flash should always be put into a fly. if you are fishing "educated" fish, mainly trout. flash can scare trout. on the river i fish, we typically switch to a black bead in high sulight because a brass bead spooks the fish. just thought i would throw that out there. the flys look quite fishable.

  • my favorite wooly buggger is a olive marabou tais with a peacock herl body a bead head and flashabou with a cream hackle

  • san juan worm is the easiest fly to tie
