Ray Walser, a senior policy analyst for Latin America in the Douglas and Sarah Allison Center for Foreign Policy Studies at the Heritage Foundation, says the United States need not expect too much change from Raul Castro. He argues that the embargo should remain in place until Raul brings positive reform to Cuba.

GOOD! The embargo is not going to be lifted until the Cuban Communist government change their policy.

If the embargo were to be lifted the totalitarian regime of Fidel Castro could run in the US, all types of investments and scams, stealing and scamming like always they have done everywhere and with everyone, they have done any business.
This is a predatory regime with a octogenarian dictator, a criminal and a thief and a terrorist regime condemned by the UN.

if the embargo is lifted the farming production of florida will be challenge by CUBAN product AND MORE THEN ANYTHING WILL BE PROVE THAT A SOCIALIST SOCIETY CAN BE GOOD FOR THE PEOPLE WITH FREE MEDICAL CARE,ETC,AMERICAN PROPAGANDA IN LATIN AMERICA WILL BE DAMAGED.

Cuba is highly educated, there is no reason for poverty. Other poor countries have a high percentage of people who can't read or write. Just the embargo alone makes Cuba one of the poorest societies in the world. Viva Capitalism! Fuck the Embargo that only benefits a few old-time Cuban Americans in the US

It won't make a difference if the embargo is lifted except to prove that the embargo had nothing to do with the misery that the cuban citizens are suffering under the current regime. The rest of the world is trading and investing in Cuba but the citizens don't have access to these goods because they need US dollars to "purchase" access to US dollars are not given to the citizens.

Cuba has just as much validity in demanding changes in US policy as we do of them

I hope the embargo is lifted as are all the other stupid things that the Miami Fascist Cuban junta and the mostly corrupt S.Florida Cuban politicians have shoved down Americas throat . Moderate Cubans long for the day we no longer see another Cuban in power in Miami as tired of seperatists fascists

When I was in Cuba lately, I seen a man being arrested for selling bananas on the street. Another man who was selling fish he'd caught was also arrested. The communist government their is insane. Any lift in the Embargo would only have goods going to those registered in the communist party there, the average citizens would get nothing. The embargo should not be lifted until the people are declared "FREE" by Castro.
