@407Swimmer she was injured, plus they had a really strong lineup with the soon to be silver and bronze medalists on the event, alicia herself was phenomenal and a former world champion, she just caved under the pressure

Wow, very good comparison! I like that you showed the statistics of each gymnast before the event and the score immediatly afterwards. Good music choice too.^^

But I just wondered why you put Cheng Fei and Alicia Sacromone last on BB when both actually were the first of their team to perform on BB in TF while you kept the original order on every other event...

Oh, and Jiang Yuyuan was still 16 at the time of the Olympics and she has never been taller than Kexin^^

@freeBITCH0 Research into that issue regarding the effects of intense gymnast training affecting periods and growth was done back in Feb. 22, 2000 by Ego Seeman, MD. As this study was conducted in the US which is home to many ethnicities this is likely true for gymnasts of any ethnic grp, like your canadian friend, and not specifically Chinese.

That said... East Asians early on tend to naturally look younger than Europeans of the same age, but when they get a LOT older its a different story lol

But if it makes you guys feel any better for these athletes, the research also concludes that everything from their height to their menstrual cycles seem to normalize after retirement. (growth catches up apparently)

And that they're usually better off for it in the long run due to this being a weight-bearing sport that helps strengthen bones and build muscles, resulting in higher bone density and better overall health.
