I've always thought a lot of SMK episodes had the feel of a silent film, with the eccentric baddies, odd predicaments, and comic peril. Brunettes Are In is one that I get that vibe from more than others, though instead of Amanda being tied to railroad tracks in the end, we have Lee chained to a pipe. ;) This video is simple enough conceptually, and the speeding it up, aging it and adding the dialogue wasn't difficult (and I only had to fudge the script in a couple places). What really got challenging in making this was finding enough music without other super distinct sounds, short of using the music from the opening and closing credits over and over. So, my apologies for the unevenness you'll hear in places. What I wouldn't give for an SMK soundtrack! Hear that WB? Are you listening?? I'm sure they're not, but I can throw it out there anyway. I hope you enjoy what I've come up with.

  • HILARIOUS!!

  • BRILLIANT! hah! I wish I had seen this earlier. When youtube did their 1911 april fools thing I found a Brunettes video clip and watched the fight sequence with Amanda and the lamp and about died laughing. Watching the entire episode like this is even funnier :D

  • Finally managing to post a comment...

  • I just love it, it really has this silent movie feeling. Great job!

  • OMG!! That was too good. And very well done. Loved it. Chrissy

  • @biggermama I guess you're right. LOL Normally I read the info, but for some reason I forgot to this time. The interesting style of the video (and yes, Lee, of course!) bowled me over ;)

  • Oh smalltowngal, I'm sure you must have just been too busy paying attention to Lee and in awe of Moxie's vid skills that you didn't notice the description that gave all that information. Might I suggest that you click that "show more" arrow and read what she said about the video?

  • Ha! Great idea, Moxie! What gave you the silent movie idea? And I love how you captured the whole show in just a few minutes :)

  • AWESOME!

    Moxie ROCKS!

*goes to spam everyone she knows and make them watch it*

  • Great job Moxie!!!!
