it is called IA (individual Augmentee) i know exactly how you feel man. I want to explore everything, i want go to iraq but wanted to experience the life on the ship as well... My plan is same as yours, ship life for a while then fire fight, but navy doesnt do that at all unless you go for Spec OPS such as SWCC or SEALS. But I did my research and found IA.. type it in youtube or yahoo what they exactly do..! hope that helps!

@SEALBrotherhood It's not that I don't believe you guys (about the SWCC doing land nav) but is there a link or something to cite this? I want to know because I'm stuck between going for SWCC or SEALs after I'm in the Navy for a while.

@SEALBrotherhood never said they were i know seals are a cut above from seals but i have to disagree with the soldier thing people can train you as much as you want its what inside you that makes you a soldier

they call themselves riverine not SWCCs their just VBSS guys. no SOC-R's or real hardwear either. Reason it's on your SWCC page is all the comments saying they are/aren't SWCCs
