was just at the indy moto gp yesterday, rossi's championship m1 (back-up) bike (2008) was on display, yamaha tech said it was priced at over $7 million. i imagine the 2009 #46 & #99 are worth upwards towards $8 million

you can't. these are race prototypes only. the research and development (engineering) costs to create them would be approximately $3 Million (and that's if they were for sale). you cannot buy these bikes. I wish though!
