The original (short lived) JBs featuring the Collins brothers, McCullough, Waddy, Gunnels and Jamison. James Brown does the introduction. Bootsy and Phelps sound especially good.

This track got released a couple of years later on a great JBs LP called Food for Thought that featured an otherwise different JBs line up.

  • I think this LP is underrated because of its ugly sleeve :) .

Anyway, I love flute, I love funk, I love the JB's, any line-up.

  • You might be right. Not much work went into the record or the sleeve - just a set of amazing tunes that JB had lying about...

  • GREAT track. i never heard it before what album is this from???

  • An LP from 1972 called Food for Thought by the JBS. Most underrated record I know - it's crazy that you can't buy it new.

  • soundcloud. com/stephanantonius/porno-groove-2 Bootzilla!

  • Oh hell....that should be my theme tune as I walk the streets. LOL..Dis tune is BANGING!!

  • @fnknebula Hey sorry I didn't upload this tune! You should ask bluesoulsound. I would love to have at least one side of the 45 for myself :)

  • @oliverecords Do you have part two of this song? I had the 45, but it is pretty scratched up. I liked the end of part two when the horns come back in. Short lines with a lot of impact. The snare is in between the horn hits and it fits perfect. If my 45 wasn't so scratchy I would upload it. Thanks for the upload.

  • fantastic vibe

  • Before there was KC & the Sunshine Band, AWB, there was The JB's.

  • I also love the JB's!!
