Barry I've also seen them four times. I managed to see the band at TinthePark and Prague and LCCC was the best of the three. Prague was the best in terms of response to IRS catalogue and general hysteria.
Bryjake10, I hear you, that they shall call it a day soon, possibly one more. Mike Mills will likely be next to go and the band will disband. The problem is they really tried with Accelerate and it hasn't happened for them.
Peter and Michael will still put out records but not as R.E.M.

Hi Barry, I have seen all my favourite peepl. Van the Man, Dylan , Neil Young, The who and various bands you would not be impressed to hear. Fact is. REM in Manchester is the finest gig i have ever attended. I was ill but the band were so good my dodgy guts took a back seat while i enjoyed the best live band in the world. Hope we both get a chance to see these blokes live again. Enjoy your music mate B.J.

The crowd at LCCC have been dead for all 3 REM shows i've seen there. Still, the setlist on this show was outstanding, and seeing the band playing so weel was a joy to see. One of my favourite shows i've seen out of the 21 REM gigs i've been to!

What a gig - the crowd were dead though! Started with "Living Well", "These Days" and "Kenneth" and I thought the people around me had never bought an REM album in their lives. Later on, "Pretty Persuasion" played and it was like a cemetary there. The band rocked it, shame on the crowd though!
As i have said before, You are a lucky bloke Nick, to have seen the band so many times. I've only managed 4 concerts. Manchester this year was the gig i thought they showed how good they are. Wish i could afford to follow them like you. Am very afraid they will 'call it a day' soon. If that happens i will have great memories of a class outfit! B.J.

I've seen them at the Manchester cricket ground 3 times and this gig was amazing I really didn't think they could top 2005's concert but they did. I think they might have one more album in them (I hope so anyway I'm like you, I'm abit worried that they will 'call it a day' after this tour is over)

I agree where I was standing it was as if no-one knew any of the early IRS stuff at all. I loved every second of this gig, great to hear all the old stuff being played. Was made up they played '7 Chines Brothers' :-D
