This is a colony from a queen ant I found about 1.5 years ago. She has around 50 workers now and I placed them into a Ant Works container with dirt. There is 100+ eggs in the dirt. This video shows the ant workers eating sugar water from cotton bud. The small stick was just to tell them food is here. :) Not sure what species this is, so if anyone can post a comment and let me know.

  • look up "hymenoterpa formicidae of (your state)" it should tell all of the native ant species
