Trivium - Declaration Guitar Cover

One of my favourites, I thought I'd have a stab at recording it with some midi drums.

All guitar recorded using:

Sm57 mic hooked up to a cheap Alesis USB mixer

An epiphone SG hooked up to a Line 6 spider 2

Old 1.5 version of Adobe Audition. It's what I am used to.

Some slight EQ to make the guitars a bit more powerful.


I tried my best on the solo, the run up part is tricky to do on my current guitar since I don't have enough frets to mimick the solo on the record perfectly. I think it came out sounding ok though.

As you might tell, it was a rushed mix, so there is some clipping. But not awfully noticeable.

Great job dude!! do you have the tabs for this?? or at least can you explain me the harmony if the bury the governing part it wold be really helpfull
