KOF combos are pure execution, no input shortcuts unlike SF4. This game also have 4 different types of jump (medium jump, super medium jump, high jump and super high jump). SF4 only has 1 type of jump, which makes people just want to turtle because they can just wait for them to do that one particular jump and counter with a crouch hard punch, which is lame. KOF gameplay does not promote turtles. If you can't execute a bread and butter combo in this game, you can pack up and go home.

Like what I just said, you would not be playing Street Fighter 4 if Street Fighter 4 is having KOF13 Graphics. People are attracted to Street Fighter 4 because of their excellent graphics. I been to many arcades in different countries (Australia, Hong Kong, etc) during the glory of KOF and only a handful of people plays Street Fighter and a crowd forms around the KOF machine.

I am both SF and KOF player. But I have to say that gameplay in SF4 is lackluster. Too many turtles and grab abusers.
