Yeah my dyson 14 animal is great. Light weight,vacs cat and dog hair better than anything ive seen. You need to baby it and not drop or bang it (plastic). Still good vacs. I owned

I recently tried a DC17 from Costco and I really think I am going to sell off my DC25.

DC17 Pro's: Seems to clean much better then the DC25 even though rated airwatts are the same. Longer 35ft cord I really like. Larger container is nice but not a huge deal.

Con's- Heavier and bulky compared to DC25. My wife does not like the weight of it compared to 25. Stiffer roller brush might wear the carpets faster then softer DC25 brush.

By the way I have no axe to grind and nothing against the company , I just hope to save a few folks the trouble of returning one or more of these , after all I'm not here pitching another brand of machine , although I've found the perfect units through much trial & error !

Just let's remember the first rule of engineering "KISS" KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID! if I had remembered that, one look at a dyson would have saved me a big pain in the rear :-)

From personal experience all of the dyson uprites are over engineered fragile complicated and overpriced . And NOT durable enough for household use !! Don't even think if using one commercially , I made that mistake , I was lucky to return them for a full refund.

Hi, I have a lot of pets&i was wondering wouldn't the D17 have stronger suction than the DC25 due to the fact that the DC17 has level 3 cyclone power as to the level 1 cyclone power of the DC25? I need a extremely strong pet vac that will also be good for all floor types due to the fact we move alot & have no control over floor type. I want to make the right choice the first time& i really need help with this ive looked all over the web and its all running together. please help me.

I've had my DC07 for 7 years, and it is AWESOME as all get-out. Have even convinced 11 of my friends to buy one as well after demo'ing mine for them in their own homes. Yeah, I'm nuts. We all got the DC07 Full Gear (Lime Green) when it came out. Only issue is that's it's freakin' heavy. No other complaints at all. It truly IS the best vacuum, and as long as you clean the filters every 6 months or so, you'll have no problems. Dyson customer service is also superb. Great review comparo, btw.

Thanks for the help! I'm going back and forth in my mind just which of these two vacuums to purchase. The Dyson DC 17 is on sale for an awesome price till midnight tonight. The Dyson DC 25 is also on sale, but still really expensive. After this video, am leaning towards the DC 25. Thanks lots!
