The term alienation has many discipline-specific uses, and Roberts notes how even within the social sciences it "is used to refer both to a personal psychological state and to a type of social relationship". Kalekin-Fishman believes "The term alienation refers to objective conditions, to subjective feelings, and to orientations that discourage participation", and remarks that, "In modern sociology alienation is a term which refers to the distancing of people from experiencing a crystallized totality both in the social world and in the self".
In sociology and critical social theory, alienation refers to an individual's estrangement from traditional community or others in general (social isolation), the dominant values of society (normlessness), or even themselves (self-estrangement), but in general the term implies a lack of identification between a person (or what he considers himself to be) and another entity. It was first the writings of Karl Marx in the 19th century and later the works of particularly Melvin Seeman that popularized the concept in sociology, along with Emile Durkheim's anomie. In the late 20th and early 21st centuries, it is particularly the works of Felix Geyer, Lauren Langman and Devorah Kalekin-Fishman that address the issue of alienation in the contemporary western world, while Burgert Senekal has studied its manifestation in literature and popular music.
the internet is shit, it is a toilet, a wank rag... anybody can slander, create maliciousness about anybody.. their is no control with the internet.. it is a sewer a cesspit where the grubby nieve people hang out. anything anybody uploads, pics, vids, words, songs..etc.. all can be distorted abused in anyway. gauranteed that your profile pic has been stolen by many other masked avatars like yourself all across the web. the internet is where the cowardly hang out, the perverted.. etc. their is a change taking place, and this change will i believe lead to the internets demise. the human race cannot and will not allow the internet to continue, its flawed.. it doesnt work, its too much of everything. their is already an exodus of people leaving the internet forever, i am one of those. in the future, people who i meet, if they have an internet connection? well they are not the type of people i would want to associate myself with. the failings of the internet reflect the failings of man, pure and simple, anybody who claims that the internet is a good thing, is a liar. i have put up everything over the past few months, music, photo etc. the images of my life slide down the internet sewer. but its just meaningless images and sound. youtube says, "upload your video show to the world" (recommended) the recommended is money, they get you in the spot, they get your attention.. up pops the advertising and they make the money. its all ££$$£££$$$...the choice should i upload or not was a choice i felt i didnt have a choice in, due to filth from my past uploading their personal disfunctional video content. reputation?.. nobody has a reputation on the net, the internet is a reflection on all humans, it is the most ugliest reflection imaginable. but their is light, it is called not being online, let the night people swim in their own filth, because their is a whole world out there of beauty.
(remember where you read it first!.. the internet has a life span of less than ten years).
