  • Hi, I want to start with FSX but I am still a bit confused about all those add ons...

I orderd FSX professional and FSX 2010 global is an upgrade, isn't it? What about other upgrades like Europe or America or whatever?

Great vid btw, just awesome :)

Thx in advance for your answer

  • @mioloki73 Don't get FS Global first. Google Orbx FTX and buy their Australian or North American Scenery and Airports. They are by far the best add-on producer. Try their free demos. Also buy Real Environment Xtreme which adds better sky, water, cloud, runway and lighting textures.

If you want to buy a plane add-on get the new PMDG 737NGX. It's the best jet add-on available by far.

  • Hey guys, I dont know much about hardware, but I know about aviation and love FSX. Will these specs run FSX at full graphics. 8GB RAM, 3.6GHz, 2x GeForce GTX 460 graphic cards, and a i5 760 core. Also, I have the operating system on a 60gb SSD.

  • @NTBushPilot It should run it excellently though bare in mind that even the very best computers still have some trouble with FSX if you are using certain add-ons combined with highly detailed payware aircraft. On default FSX you should be able to run it on full settings maybe except for light bloom which is so badly programmed it will not work well on a super computer. You can use the freeware ENB. plugin anyway to replace this. The i5 is very good, slightly less than i7 but should perform well.

  • @Steve31000 could you tell me wich card is better for FSX?

    9800GT 1gb ddr3 256-bit or 240GT 1gb ddr5 128 bit

  • @RCHelios1 Both cards are fairly old and will not run FSX at very high settings. If I had to choose though I would pick the 9800GT as it has a proven record of performance in the past with FSX. The 240GT is a low end card in that generation of GPU so it would be a no go for me.

  • is an AlienWare M11x good for fsx?

  • 2:00 insanely REAL!

  • @MegaLiveyourdream thx for inviting me to your Facebook Group , but I don't use Facebook. I fly frequently now, still have my problems with an ILS approach and glideslopes, but I'm getting better with it. I'd downloaded a nice plane which suits me (Diamond Twin by IRIS) and I am still waiting for an European ORBX addon. FSX Global is nice but it's not what I've expected.

    Fly save o7

  • @mioloki73 join us on FSX Next Generation and we will go through it with you step by step. FSX Next Generation is a non commercial Facebook Group. See you soon.
