OSX 10.6.2 (Vanilla Kernel) on Atom (MSI Wind U100) is a no go

Bam , all it does is restarts. currently the beta kernel doesn't support Atom processors anymore. I guess Apple must have removed the IDs for Atom CPU support. Anyway , we'll have to wait for the final verison

Anyway its confirmed that apple has removed support for Atom CPU. Say goodbye to Atom CPUs , now you can't run 100% Vanilla (Virgin OSX)

You may be interested in that. It's a hack to allow Atom support by replacing kernel for OS X. I personally haven't tried it so i can't say how good it is, but the replies are positive.

It's up to yourself if you want to try it, and as you can probably imagine it'll require a good bit of work to get right.

Well Im backing off.. Looks like the update failed and now looking for alternatives. Sorry if I lead anyone a stray.. Been hacking for many years and sure enough this update broke allot of systems not just Atoms.

Next time I will not question someones post.
