Take a tour of Reichenau St. George's Church in Reichenau Island, Germany -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats.

Lying in Lake Constance in the south of Germany is the fascinating and peaceful Reichenau Island.

The entire island is monastic and is home to an abbey and two churches, one of which is Saint George's Church.

This small and simple church was consecrated on eastern side of the island in the year 896.

The abbot Heito the Third returned from Rome with the head of Saint George, giving the church its name.

The countryside surrounding the church is a beautiful landscape of green fields and flowers.

Between Saint George's and the island's other churches, Reichenau Island is a peaceful and wonderful place to visit.
