I wish Streetview came with a cruise mode. Where you would just cruise straight until you had to turn or the user told the computer to turn left or right at next available left or right theoritically just moving along any road until it ended if user pressed nothing.

As soon as people start talking about getting seen on the internet, they get really scared for some reason, not realising that we walk past millions of people each year and are constantly being recorded by security cameras, i couldnt care less about being seen on google street view, i have nothing to hide, so why should i.

It's just too bad Google was banned from taking street view imagery from some countries like Greece (my place..) because of alleged privacy WiFi violations,I don't think Google is doing that anymore.. I think street view is very good for tourism it kinda of advertises places and also it's useful to anybody for finding busineses or houses or navigating in streets so we really miss it here in Greece! the data protection government agency here banned it damm :(

Google should add 3d rendering to street view photos so that it truly looks like you are there and not only snapshots..Nokia is doing this already in it's streetview it extracts 3d data for each pixel in the photos.if Google combines this with oblique 45 degree aeroplane photos it has it will be almost perfect zooming from space down to street level :)
