Jodan punches? I think that punches should be on chudan zone, maybe I'm wrong. Can you post kihon sono ni kata (Kyokushin)? On Saturday I have my belt test and I have some doubts ;)

Osu.. You may also do this Kata all with Chudan punches, I have seen that version also. I doubt that I will be able to post Kihon Sono Ni by this Saturday for you Ciboreiro. But I will make an attempt to do so with the help of my children if it can help you in some way.
I know that each organization has it's own special touches to the kata. For me, Kihon Sono Ni is performed with inside block/middle punch. Remember to compare everything with what your Sensei taught you.

Do you think that I am surprised by your statement LeKrzysioPL? Please notice that I mention that I am wearing Gator shoes in my description during this kata. I did this video quickly for an internet friend to show her what kata I was referring to. Please do not mistake it for an instructional video. I can assure you that I have improved in my performance of this kata, but then, is that not the goal of every serious Martial Artist?

It is my belief that we should always improve, therefore each time we make a video, and return to it a few months later, we should be able to say to ourselves. "Wow! I can't believe I had done it so poorly, and I thought that I was doing my best at the time" This statement will reveal our inner progress to ourselves. If we can look at the video and say "Ohoh... I look better in there than now.. " I would call that a wake up call to train harder.

a decent practice kata, but stop calling it kihon kata sono ichi. Thats not even in the ball park of what it really is. Don't want to give people false ideas about it.

Thank you for your comment, siredavid. I do apologize, but I was taught that this is the name of the particular set of movements that I am doing. To my knowledge, this "kata" or "pattern" was created by Shihan Steve O'Neil in the late 1970's, and is particular to the IKO3 organization.
