Russell Brand gives a wink to his old chum Noel Gallagher by introducing a comment of his own in the script of his first Hollywood blockbuster appearance.

Russ said: "I have paid tribute to Noel Gallagher in the film. I hope he will be flattered to be mentioned in the context of an American film rather than the usual treatment from news reporters over there saying, 'The Gallagher brothers disgusted viewers today when they spat at a child.'"

I wonder how confused Americans were by the reference though.

Russell has been trying to get Noel Gallagher to appear in "Get Him to the Greek." I wonder if he'll suceed. He seems to be really good at getting favors from Noel to further his career.

i understand they are big in the uk,, trust me they are my favourite band, but my sentence still makes sence, as i said, it would have made MORE sence,, in the 90's,

this is an american movie, american's forgot about oasis after wonderwall,, and thats a fact,

sure u might have a few fans to pack out a club or whatever, but oasis are not superstars in america,

In the Get him to the Greek trailer Russell is sitting on a couch playing a cheap-looking replica of Noel's Union Jack guitar from Maine Road.

I can't wait to see the other tidbits that Russell will sneak into the film! Wish Noel would have agreed to the cameo.
