A great blue heron, some raccoons, and a muskrat all make appearances at the pond where I have been working. So did countless squirrels, but I didn't managed to catch any of them on camera.

From the time you first discovered the grease theft to the time you finished the job & left, how many tubes were taken and in how many weekends? I would have booby-trapped the tool-box with a mouse trap. But then it could be illegal. This is Canada after all.

I held my nose and voted today, but to be honest, there wasn't even one party on the docket that I think is 'good' for Canada.

The federal governments in both Canuckistan and the US both have NO MANDATE or LAWFUL authority to levy income taxes on private citizens.

It is something that was brought in surreptitiously, long before I was born, and has been creeping ever deeper into the fabric of our society, much like a deadly fungus, ever since; and it is slowly strangling our countries.

If the Conservatives truly merited their name, they would repeal federal income tax, GST, and pull out of NAFTA. But they won't.

I'm hoping the muskrat pays us another visit before I'm out of there next week.

I don't often bother to return to the 'scene of the crime', but this job is one of the rare cases where I will be making an exception. I'll wait about a month after we're long gone, and then when we have a weekend with some decent whether, I'll probably spend a few hours there and picnic with the wife, and just take it in. It should be really nice when the planting, etc, is all done.
