Another option for a change pad is a cloth made one. You can either sew one from an old towel and stuff it with old shirts and top stitch around to secure. Or, you can use towels on the bed/floor/couch.
$80-100 is way too much money for something to be pooped on that will only be used 10 mins a day!

I've looked after children for years, and 95% of the time I wont use a change pad. Just pop something down on the floor or couch and get it down fast between playing!

Thanks! I came to my senses about it-- I took a shrunken wool blanket (very absorbant) and folded it to the right size, covered it with an organic cotton cover and laid it on the dresser top with a non-skid shelf liner underneath! Oh how I love to beat the system! ; )
