Honestly, as a Sherlockian, I LOVED this movie (except for the whole 'relationship between Irene Adler and Holmes' thing). Why? Because it actually used some of Holmes' more interesting qualities to make the story more movie worthy, instead of just completely changing him. For one, in the book 221B Baker Street is an absolute mess, for another, Holmes IS a boxing expert and martial artist, and finally, they put him in practical clothing that he might actually have worn, rather his classic look.

I'm a Holmes purist and I cant wait to see this film, don't know what Sherlockians are whining about. Its clearly been explained that this is a reboot and not traditional Holmes.

I can't wait for this! I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes fan, so of course there'll be things that bug me, but the only one I can see from this trailer is that they make Holmes look scruffy when he's always impeccably dressed.
I honestly don't know what people are whining about, it's a movie based off a book, of course there will be discrepencies! They have to TV it up, for one thing. They can't rightly base a whole movie off of Holmes and Watson sitting at Baker Street picking apart a case by ear!
