They don't want accolades or money they simply want their health needs taken care of because their workman's comp has run out and private insurance companies won't work with them. The GOP awarded tens of billions of dollars in no-bid contracts to their cronies yet they won't take care of these people. Many of the rescuers came from jurisdictions outside NYC so it wasn't their job, they were volunteers and deserve their status as heroes.
