Diffusion

war, the grotesque images it generates, and the reality it implicates, have become yet another commodity we, the viewing public, interact with monotonously. Consequently, abandoning all responsibility we owe towards global realities that immerse themselves in our intimate spaces as visual embodiments in the form of an image. An act of diffusion occurs in the background after acquiring this knowledge.
This action is translated through an audio-visual video footage of ink diffusing in pure water. Implying through this metaphor the act of abandoning our responsibility from any association, direct or indirect, we may have with these global ordeals by going through a rinsing process, or diffusion, of our thoughts.
The audio reflects a collage of random street sounds; conversations between street merchants, children and destructive bombings. These sounds of life and death are juxtaposed on the sound of running water that varies between calmness and chaos.
