This version of the intro was used on every Canadian vhs of Tintin. With the logo replaced with an english or french one of course.

I just saw the movie today and was actually quite impressed. As you may guess, Spielberg took a lot of his own direction in the movie, but he did well with that part. However there were still a lot of parts that fit directly in with the comics to keep a fan like me grinning and happy. There were also a lot of little things he stuck in there, mostly near the beginning that only a fan would notice.

@SM4RTJE he wasn't Dutch, he was Belgian. Hergé spoke French, but lived in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. The original hero is called "Tintin", but these series were very big in Flanders and Holland.
