The South has both deep thinking rappers with lyricism, and party rappers. It just so happens that party rappers are the biggest thing due to the majority of fans/consumers preferring party rap. The South didn't invent it though. They only dominate it. Don't hate the South, but love the fact that there's something for everybody in Hip-Hop.

@LawTheStryker i agree there is plenty of good music from the south, i think the reason a lot of people say that though is it seems like more southern rappers are more lenient with their rhymes. for example: you might (or at least i do) sit back when youre listening to a song like wait a minute that doesnt rhyme... but the south has a lot to offer... for better or for worse
