  • Ronnie Earl is a fantastic blues man as is Joe Louis Walker but the bass player here is overplaying and failing to feel the required groove- Ronnie is trying to get the rhythm section to swing and it's a struggle. Lots of people seem to think blues is easy due to it's mathematical simplicity this rhythm section proves how easy it is to get it wrong. The band play like rock players attempting to play blues by rote without listening or feeling the groove.
