@ph33x haha nah mate, im not jezza. just another GTR owner from perth.
yeh iv decided i might upgrade to the -5's. Hopefully the extra 100awkw will help me forget about the earlier 500rpm spool up time. haha.

@electricshockproof Correct. It's probably around the 480 mark but 500 works better with YouTube related videos etc etc. ;)

302awkw comes out to just over 400whp. Unless you're converting the power measurement back to the flywheel and using a 20% loss calculation?

lol da steht doch nur 300 hp :D
velten2111 2 months ago
@velten2111 Es ist 300 Kilowatt an den Rädern. Bekehrter zur Pferdestärke und ist es ~410hp. Die raue Bewertung am Motor ist 500hp. Entschuldigen Sie die Übersetzung.

very interesting. My gtr also makes 300kw atw running 2860 -7's. mind you, mines on a forged engine with a built head.
have you got much else dont besides the turbo's and ecu?

@tanoAE86 Yeah I'll assume you're running your turbo's at around 23psi? Stock engine and internals, and it's a very conservative tune, you can see the fuel coming out the back. All the sensors, fuel system, ignition, is ready for ~400awkw, just need to do the internals, cams, up the boost, take out some fuel and throw in more timing.
300awkw is near the end of the -7's capabilities, but your setup won't be as laggy as mine and more streetable.

@ph33x ahh thats fair enough. yeah i guess you wouldnt want to push the stock bottom end anything over 300awkw. Gotta be happy with that
I had the -7's on the stock engine of mine until i spun a big end. Now that the motor's rebuilt and can handle a bit more power, im seriously considering the upgrade to -5's
what are ur thoughts on the response trade-off for power with the -7 vs. -5's
iv already got hks 264 cams with adjustable cam gears so they should be able to get dialed for some response

@tanoAE86 Well I'm used to the feeling of 300awkw now, and you probably are too, so I'm happy with my choice. You do however miss the balls anywhere under 3.5k, and desired boost reached around 4-4.3k. But it pulls hard all the way after it hits.
Stock cams, and they were dialed for max power with stock turbos. Just got a datalogit yesterday, going over my first logs now to try and get some more fuel efficiency off boost. The tune is safe, rich, with no heavy timing atm.
Is this you Jezza?
