Martina is my all time favorite. It's bcuz of her that I came to love tennis. She's so graceful on the court, nothing compares... no one compares... She's definitely irreplaceable. There's something in her that's just so special.

@acadavos I agree, by accomplishments I would put Graf and Navratolova #1 (tie). However, I believe that Serena Williams, at her best, could beat any other female player at her best. The trouble is, due to injuries and [sometimes] laziness, Serena has not that often been at her best, especially in recent years.

I love Chris Evert, but I disagree with her comment. The true question is: Why do we have lost such great tennis players as Hingis, Kournikova, the talent and the charm on the tennis court? Would Chris ever have a chance now, as she had when she started at sixteen, so beautiful, feminine, but also fragile.

Yes Christ Ever is a true genuine champion, that met the new game, and that truly made a remarkable athlete of herself. But she was already a woman then...

Hingis with her puffball serve averaging 80 mph -- there are girls in my club who could bludgeon her to death.

Hingis can not be considered a great player. She got to Number One during the interregnum -- the weak period when Graf was injured. When Williamses came along, Hingis was just no match.

I liked how Maria Sharapova massacred Hingis at Indian Wells 2006 with a succession of clean winners. The crowd just loved it.

Steffi Graf is the greatest woman tennis player of all time!
