  • Morgan, the brindle dog, passed away on May 27th, 2011. She was a lab/boxer/chow mix and the smartest and sweetest dog ever. I miss her so very much and it makes me happy and sad to watch this video again. Zoey is now 8 and she has a harrier/foxhound sister named Nellie and they keep up the tradition.

  • I give you credit for voluntarily taking in these dogs. I have a treeing walker in my rescue right now and don't get me wrong, I love her to death, but the barking.... oh my god, the barking... lol. Put her in a vehicle and she barks from point A to point B even if its a 2 hour drive. I just posted a video of her on my channel if you want to see it. Take care!

  • @LocalDogRescue Too funny! I played that and the boxer Zoe is the same name as my Walker Zoey and she heard the video and thought the computer was scolding her LOL! My hounds like to lay together in the dog bed and howl in each other's ears.

  • I am glad you have all enjoyed the video. Hard to believe that was 3 years ago.

I have rescued another Walker (actually a beagle/walker mix) named Nellie and need to make a new video with both of the hounds.

Morgan, the brindle boxer/lab is doing well and just turned 11 in November.

They are very fast and have zero road and car sense. Unless you have a Walker in a secure, fenced area, it is always best to use a leash.

  • Yes, "watch-coonhounds" ;-)

I have a new short with sound I will try to put up this week - then you can really hear the symphony!

  • Yes, she is very loud and when she does this with the mailman it is best to cover your ears. I am surprised she can't be heard five blocks away LOL

  • @dfluker21 So sorry for your loss :o( What beautiful and sweet girls :o)

  • I just gotta get a Walker pup for my son!

  • @dfluker21 We found that out the very first Mother's day we had her. My drummer let her off the leash to play with her and it took us the better part of an hour to catch her. It was scary, she was running across Rt. 24 and a Semi actually stopped and the driver tried to catch her too. My Wife was so upset, she thought the dog would surely be run over. The neighbor's youngest son called her and she went up to him immediately. OH YEAH....you need a fence.

  • loved your video! We have had our walker coon hound for about a month. she doesn't bark at people coming to the door. She Barks at us when she is upset, because we tell her no

  • My Treeing Walker Coonhound Harvey does that whenever anybody comes near our house.

  • I can't stop laughing!!! My walker, goes nuts when the mailman, Fedex and UPS even drive by the house. Yeah, that's the only drawback, zero road sense. You can yell at them all you want, they are extremely stubborn. BUT...she's great around Grandchildren, infants....She's actually been caught cleaning the kittens. Love the video!

  • This exactly what my Walker does to the UPS man.
