Primary EoN Dagling Glider

Video taken at Old Warden on 6th September 2009 and shows the Shuttleworth Collection's Dagling glider being launched. I flew an almost identical glider while at school in 1954. At the time I was a member of the RAF section of the school's CCF. We used to launch the glider across the school field using the bunjie method. It was the first time that I had flown any type of aircraft solo. While in the cadet force, I subsequently learned to glide at the No 89 Gliding School. In 1977 I gained my PPL at Headcorn and flew light aircraft for 17 years.
