This is an event that occurs right at the end of the game where you get to ask many questions about the zone and yourself. This is about the best information the player gets on the storyline, which is a shame as it comes into the game so late.

And yes, the person you play IS Strkelok, and no, he doesn't exactly explain what S.T.A.L.K.E.R. stands for.

Also, the concept of a Noosphere is real.

Good hunting, Stalker.

  • and also, why does everyone break their heads at what Stalker means. The actual dictionary translation matches to what is meant by STALKER in the game.

Stalker- Stalking is a perjorative term for the obsessive following, observing, or contacting of another person, or the obsessive attempt to engage in any of these activities. This includes following the person to certain places.

  • Probably because S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is presented as an acronym, and has other connotations connected to it with literature and film that inspired the game in the first place.

  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R. stands for Scavenger, Trespasser, Adventurer, Loner, Killer, Explorer, Robber

  • If the zone really existed I'd run a prostitution business inside it. If you could die at any moment, wouldn't you like to see tits? Now imagine all those men in the zone...

  • @RyswickZ THIS^

  • @Sufffrimiento they didn't know strelok was... strelok :P. They aren't as intelligent as they pretend to be xD

  • @Sufffrimiento an also based in the book "Roadside Picnic"

  • how i get this end? if i go to prypiat and find a secret stash? or find the wish granter?

  • omg,all these theories and useless question which could be answered just by watching the video.

  • stupid c-conciousnes, i dont understan, if the "c" guys want strelok dead whi they dont made it before?, no of course, you have to order him to kill himself, if not, wouldnt be soo funny :D

  • @ForImperium the game is based on stalker film, yes its correct.

  • There was a Soviet film called Stalker, it follows a mystic zone that is irradiated. Stalkers guide people in, most disappear. It's an excellent film. It inspired the game along with the novel "Road Side Picnic".

  • The actual meaning of stalker comes from 'Stalking' the exclusion zone, essentially, people pay "stalkers" to be tour guides inside the exclusion zone... wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Chernobyl_stalking most likely gsc used this and made it into an acronym to serve their purposes, cool since they fit everything that the stalker characters are in the games ;P

side note... there isnt a c consciousness project but there is a g consciousness project :O

  • OMG stalkers are (IN THIS GAME NOT FAKIN dictionary) the people who came to the zone to get artifacts so they get rich....
