A day out at Heacham, on the North Norfolk Coast (England). People say that we have bad weather and horrible beaches, sometimes they are right.... but not always....

Probably needs to be viewed in high quality if youtube give you the option :)

  • Beautiful atmospheric video. I was born in Heacham and its hardly changed. Forgot how big the sky is in Norfolk. Best county in England!

  • @WitchesSky If you manage to get to Holt on the train, I can recommend the Owl Tea Room's (it's quite central). There is also a Ice cream shop in Sheringham near the sea on the main road that sell's the strangest flavours but we always have to have one :-)

Have a great time and I hope the weather is good for you.

  • @noonoobaggins I have a four year old and a blind dog and I am taking my Mum, and she has a dog thats dying, so we are somewhat limited how much we can do, but just staring out at the sea is enough for me :) thanks x

  • @noonoobaggins Yes I saw that Windmill, we might take a wander towards it :) I definately want to see the seals, and we are going to Sheringham to catch the Poppy Express steam train round the coast!

I went to Tintagel in Cornwall about 7 years ago, loved it! But Cornwall is so busy even out of season... and I found where I was no one picked up their dog poo which really annoyed me! lol....

  • @WitchesSky lucky lady, I am sure you'll have a nice time it. It's all nice around there IMHO, not as dramatic as Cornwall but it has it's own gentle beauty. If you go to Brancaster, turn right on the beach for about 300 yrds, climb the dunes and you have a nice view of Brancaster creek. Blakney and Cley are nice too, the views across the reeds by the windmill. Also if you walk through the reeds by the RSPB centre just along from Cley.

What ever you do, have a nice time :-)

  • @noonoobaggins I am off to Blakeney soon on holiday, never been there before, I am trying to see more of my own coastline rather than going off to far away places :)

  • @WitchesSky So true, yet 2 miles up the road and it's heaving with folks, crazy eh?. Must admit, I love to visit Brancaster beach too but I also love walking around Heacham centre too, the old car's, the house's, It's like being a child again :-)
