@SHADOW08742 He is lovely :) I'm in Australia & the climate where I am is quite warm most of the time, this makes me realise what he could look like if I moved somewhere where it snows in winter. He suffers in the heat & even though its only mid spring he's just had his spring clip. I've noticed now I'm doing that the lighter undercoat is more obvious when it grows back for winter

In this video he was 1 year and 5 months, he moved in with me the day the video was taken Jan 1 2009. Weighing in at about 9lbs!
Now 3 years later he shed a lot of that fur and weighs 10 lbs! I fattened him up but it's not noticeable!

@JillHarmony I can't tell you how much fun I have with this cat. He gets into lots of trouble but it's all just fun.
He has a certain grin/smirk he gives me when he gets away from me & I can't catch him outside. He LOVES it!

I've adopted a lovely boy & having seen pics of Maine Coons I've realised he is one :) He doesn't have as magnificent a mane as your baby, but he has the same colouring, I've found out it is called "black smoke".

@LGH764 -this video was taken the day I permanently took him in. His mane was so full because he lived outside for a year and a half and it was Jan 1. Once permanently indoors he shed a lot, it grows in fuller in the winter but not as full as you see it here. I like the name of his coloring "black smoke"! Thanks!
